Hug Your Children

So, this post was going to be about completed projects and yarn lust. . .

But I just found out that the 14-year-old daughter of one of my students is missing. What do you say to her? What can I do?

My 13-year-old daughter just walked in the door, and I don't think I've ever wanted, or needed, a hug from her so desperately.

If you have children, hug them tonight. And hope and pray that my student has hers back to hug very soon.

I can't even imagine the hell your student is going through now. I will keep her and her daughter and family in my thoughts and hope that everything turns out okay.

I'm sending all the positive thoughts and energy their way - that has got to be the worst thing for a parent to experience - and I can't imagine how she's making it though the hours.
