Progress Report

Not as many of you have completed your assignment as I might have wished, but the papers turned in so far have been fascinating! Thank you for your contributions. There will be a final "tally" of your answers, so that we can look for patterns, similarities, etc. At some point, The Instructor will also reveal her list.

Still time to turn your work in!!!

Okay, I haven't had much time to think about it, but I'll have a go. 7 guests is an awful lot (my table is not big enough...). Will it be all right M'am, if I reduce the list?
- Oscar Wilde
- Ernest Shackleton
- Peter Ustinov
- Melina Mercouri
- Greta Garbo

Ok, I'm gonna answer BUT - I'm going to answer it the way I teach it to my college lit class (ok, there's a big ole hint for ya') I am only picking seven authors:
William Shakespeare
Ernest Hemingway
Sylvia Plath
Virginia Woolf
F. Scott Fitzgerald
Margaret Atwood
Arthur Miller

Ya' know, I started a list, re-read it and decided it just proved how shallow I really am - heh. Scrapped it and carried on ;-)

Oh, and Mackie sends her thanks to all the furry-kind in your household.

Hmm, what a good question!

My guest list:
-Tori Amos
-Virginia Woolf (I'm such a follower!)
-Neil Gaiman
-Charles de Lint
-My grandparents (I never really had the chance to know them)
-Johnny Depp
-Simone de Beauvoir

I guess that's good enough :)
